Ofsted Report

 

We were last inspected in October 2012 with Ofsted rating us as good.

Ofsted Inspectors described Lew Trenchard Church of England Primary School as a satisfactory and improving school.

The report stated that ‘standards in English, Mathematics and Science are rising and that teaching has improved with many good features’. The report added that teaching is based ‘on an effective, creative curriculum which has led to pupils enjoying their learning and showing better concentration’.

Pupils feel safe in school and parents recognise that there is good quality care, guidance and support, especially for vulnerable pupils. The school was praised for promoting community cohesion both within the school and its locality.
